The Boutique Hotel Orangerie is located in the heart of Düsseldorf’s Carlstadt, one of the most charming quarters of the historic Old Town – just a few steps from the Rhine.

By Train

From Düsseldorf Central Station, you can reach us in approx. 10–15 minutes:

• Take tram line 709 or 706 to Heinrich-Heine-Allee, then about a 5-minute walk.
• Alternatively: take tram line 704 or 709 to Benrather Straße, then about a 3-minute walk.
• By taxi it takes about 10 minutes.

By Plane

Düsseldorf Airport (DUS) is about 9 km away:

• Take the S-Bahn S11 directly from the terminal to Heinrich-Heine-Allee (approx. 25 minutes). From there it’s about a 5-minute walk to the hotel.
• By taxi you can reach us in about 20 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.

By Car

Our hotel is located in a traffic-calmed zone with restricted access. For your navigation system, please enter: Poststraße 1, 40213 Düsseldorf.

Route 1: Via Poststraße
Drive along Poststraße to the end and turn left into Orangeriestraße. A bollard is located there. Please call us at +49 211 866800 so we can grant you access. Then follow Orangeriestraße to Ann-Maria-Louisa-Medici-Platz, where our hotel is located.

Route 2: Via Mannesmannufer
Alternatively, you may approach via Mannesmannufer. Follow the road into Schulstraße, then continue into Citadellstraße and afterwards into Bäckerstraße. From there you will arrive directly at the hotel forecourt. Should the barrier at Mannesmannufer be closed, please also contact us at +49 211 866800.

Note: Before reaching the restricted access area, please give us a call and let us know which route you are taking. We will be happy to assist you if needed.

Tip: Whenever possible, plan your arrival in advance. Especially on weekends, traffic in the Old Town is heavy and parking is limited. If you are travelling with light luggage, we recommend heading directly to a nearby parking garage, leaving your car there and checking in at the hotel at ease.

Parking

There are no parking spaces directly at the hotel. However, several parking garages are located nearby:

• Carlsplatz Parkhaus (approx. 3 min walk / 230 m) – Benrather Straße 7b, 389 spaces, cost: €35.00/day, max. height 1.95 m
• Contipark Altstadt Rheinufer (approx. 5–7 min walk / 500 m) – Rheinufertunnel, 964 spaces, variable rates, max. height 2.00 m
• Q-Park Apollo Parkplatz (approx. 8 min walk / 800 m) – Neusser Straße 14, cost: €25.00/24h.
  We have a special rate agreement at the Q-Park. Please inform us if you park there – we will gladly validate your ticket so that you benefit from the reduced rate.

General Information

Our reception desk is staffed 24 hours a day – late arrivals are therefore always possible. If you arrive early and your room is not yet ready, you are welcome to store your luggage with us securely and begin exploring Düsseldorf right away.
